Lantern Tour and Haunted Woods Walk and on and Saturday, October 24 and Friday and Saturday October 30-31, 2009 at the Strong-Porter Museum located at 2382 South Street Coventry. Abundant Life Community Church, 980 Main Street, hosts FUN SUITE, a Halloween alternative. Parents are invited to bring their kids to a safe environment at 5 p.m. where they can interact with board games, face painting, food, and other fun activities. Also, a premiere showing of the comedy video THOU SHALT LAUGH 4, hosted by John Tesh, will be showing at 6:30 p.m. Contact: 456-2522.

5 to 7 p.m. Main St. Willimantic. Main Street area merchants and businesses distribute candy to children for a safe and fun Halloween. Main Street will be closed at this time. Free. Sponsored by the Town of Windham and Windham Chamber of Commerce.

The Canterbury Elementary School PTO is looking for individuals and groups to host car trunks at the 2nd annual Trunk or Treat event, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Canterbury Town Hall. Children will enjoy going from trunk to trunk to receive pre-packaged candy from costumed car owners. All cars are welcome, but must be properly registered to participate. Open to all Canterbury residents. Contact 546-9484 or 546-6932.

Mansfield Community Center, 10 South Eagleville Road, Storrs from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Join us for an early evening of fun including games, activities and some trick-a-trunking. All activities are free for all of our surrounding community. Trick-A-Trunk is part of our Halloween party where area youths trick or treat around a blocked off parking lot that is filled with cars where volunteers set up shop handing out treats to our costumed kiddies. Volunteer "Trunkers" are still needed and must pre-register. Wear costumes, decorate your cars. For more information or to register as a sponsor call 429-3015 ext.107.
