Nov, 30Christmas Tree Auction DeadlineDEADLINE FOR CHRISTMAS TREES FOR AUCTION The Windham Textile & History Museum is having its 2nd annual Christmas Tree Silent Auction. Each participating business or individual is asked to decorate & donate a tree (of any size) in the theme of their choice. We would like the trees up by Nov. 30 to display in the museum. Advance arrangements can be made to have the trees picked up. The trees will be on display during the Special Children’s Shopping Night on Dec. 1, the Victorian Christmas Tea on Dec 4 and the third annual Gingerbread Holiday Dec. 5. Nov, 29Tree LightingTREE LIGHTING Windham Center’s Christmas Tree Lighting, hosted by the Windham Center Fire Department, will take place at 6 p.m. followed by refreshments and Santa Claus. The tree lighting takes places at the Windham Center green at the intersection of Route 203, Route 14 and Plains Road.
Nov, 29Wreath SaleWREATHE SALE The Hebron Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. will be holding its fourth annual Wreath and Poinsettia Sale on the two weekends following Thanksgiving — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Nov. 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 28, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 29. Decorated and undecorated wreaths, Christmas cactus and 4.5- to 8-inch potted plant poinsettias will be for sale. Also antique fire truck T-shirts and reflective 911 address signs will be available. Proceeds will be used to continue the support of Hebron’s Engine 1, a 1937 Ford Sanford. The sale will be held at the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department, 44 Main St., Hebron.
