Dec, 2Mommy and Me LuncheonMOMMY & ME LUNCHEONS (IN ENGLISH) Windham Hospital offers a Mommy and Me Luncheon, a social support network for mothers and their infants (age up to 9 months). The group meets twice a month, the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m, in the Human Resources Classroom. Next meeting dates are December 2nd and December 16th. Women living in the Windham Hospital service area and their children up to age 9 months are welcome to attend. There is a $5 fee which will be waived for anyone with state insurance or receiving assistance from WIC. To register call (860) 456-689

Dec, 2Artist FellowshipsARTIST FELLOWSHIP INFORMATIONAL SESSION Held at WindhamARTS, 866 Main Street Willimantic 6 to 7 p.m. The Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism conducts a session about opportunities for Connecticut artists. Discussions will focus on CCT’s FY2010 Artist Fellowship program and application procedures. Information on additional programs such as the Art in Public Spaces program and Image Bank will also be presented. The deadline for visual artists to submit an Artist Fellowship application is Friday, January 15, 2010. Categories include: Crafts, New Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture/Installation and Works on Paper.

Dec, 3Holiday BazaarHOLIDAY BAZAAR The Auxiliary to Windham Hospital will hold its annual Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m in the Hospital Atrium and Education Center. There will be 30 crafters and exhibitors, offering such items as handmade jewelry, candles, soaps, holiday décor and other gift items. Also included is a wonderful selection of extraordinary themed baskets.
