Dec, 4Restoring a TavernRESTORING A TAVERN IN WILLINGTON 7 p.m. Community Room at The Willington Public Library, 7 Ruby Road, Willington, The Willington Historical Society will present a free public discussion on the preservation of historical buildings. Presenter Jane Montanaro from the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, with photos, illustrations and stories. The building on the Willington Green known as “Glazier’s Tavern”, which was recently donated to the historical society is the local project the society is hoping to get more townspeople involved in. Mrs. Claus will be there to greet the guests and the waiters will sing carols for tips. Tickets are $5.

Food, crafts, pictures with Santa, face-painting, games, a children’s gift shop, a silent auction, a holiday plant sale, and tag sale. Free admission. Proceeds benefit Lebanon Cooperative Nursery School.
