Areas of common concern will be shared with the region’s legislative leaders for consideration in the 2010 General Assembly Session. Sep, 24Global Warming LectureDr. Kerry Emanuel, one of the world’s leading authorities on hurricanes, will give a talk entitled “A Sober Look at Global Warming.” The fre lecture, part of the University of Connecticut’s Edwin Way Teale Lecture Series on Nature and the Environment, will take place at 4 pm at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center, Konover Auditorium.

Open to the public. Veterans who have never taken advantage of their VA health-care eligibility are encouraged to attend. Service members recently discharged from active duty or those planning to separate from the service are invited to learn more about VA health-care benefits.
