Church Women United sponsors a World Day of Prayer service at Douglas Manor, Route 14, Windham, with a gathering at 9:45 p.m. and worship service at 10:15 a.m. Another service takes place at the First Congregational Church, 199 Valley St., Willimantic. Soup supper at 6 p.m., worship at 7 p.m. All welcome. Service theme: “God’s Wisdom Provides New Understanding.”
