JACK-O-LANTERN JAUNT
6 to 7:30 p.m. Garden on the Bridge, Main St. Willimantic. (Rain date 10/30/09). Pumpkin carving contest (prizes given), all ages costume parade, Halloween Poster Contest Awards presentation from Windham Recreation Department, live music and hot apple cider with Halloween snacks. Free. Carved pumpkins should be brought to the bridge between 6 and 6:30 p.m. (bring a small candle to insert into your pumpkin). Prizes will be given by age groups. Pumpkin viewing 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with awards after 7:30 p.m. You may leave your Jack-O-Lantern for display in downtown store fronts through Halloween.
