African studies prof to speak at ECSU

WILLIMANTIC — This month, Eastern Connecticut State University will host it’s University Hour Series, which will include four cultural events throughout February.

As part of the series, the university invited Gary Ford, an assistant professor of African Studies at Lehman College in New York, to visit and talk to students.

Ford will be in the Student Center Theater at ECSU Wednesday from 3 to 4 p.m.

Ford helped produce the 2012 award-winning documentary “Justice is a Black Woman: The Life and Work of Constance Baker Motley.”

The event is free and open to the public.
